The active substance of DrotavEP tablets is drotaverine, which relieves spasms of nervous and smooth muscle origin. It alleviates spasms of the kidneys, the urinary bladder, the gallbladder, bile ducts, the gastrointestinal system, as well as menstrual cramps. It also helps reduce the symptoms of headache.
Since pain intensity can be different, the dosage also varies within a wide range. A single 80 mg tablet is sufficient for menstrual pain, and 1 or 2 tablets of 40 mg 3 times a day can help eliminate other cramps.
